01

What is electronic call monitoring?

In home care, electronic call monitoring—often shortened to ECM—records information about care visits, such as when a carer clocks in and out. It helps the office compare the planned schedule with recorded attendance.

MyRoster connects this information with the care rota. The ECM view includes active sessions, completed visits and late starts, with carer, client and date filters to help the office find the records it needs.

02

Review the calls that need attention.

A visit that has not started needs context. The carer may need support, the plan may have changed, or a clock-in may need checking. MyRoster brings late-start information into the monitoring workflow so the office can investigate.

Review the scheduled and recorded times, the carer and client, and the available visit information before deciding what to do next. Monitoring gives the team a useful starting point for follow-up; a clock-in record alone does not explain everything that happened during a visit.

  • Filter records by date, carer and client
  • Review active sessions and completed visits
  • Check late starts and auto-logged-out sessions
  • Use communication logs alongside visit information
03

Connect clock-in with the carer’s working day.

The existing carer app supports GPS or QR visit clock-in. Carers can access their schedule and visit details, then use the visit workflow to record care information and complete tasks.

Recorded locations and durations help the office review attendance alongside the rota. Timesheet workflows give managers access to the visits behind care-hour totals, supporting a more connected review of the day’s records.

04

See ECM with a real planning scenario.

Ask for a demonstration that starts with a planned morning run, then follows an active visit, a completed visit and a late start. We can show how the office navigates between the schedule and monitoring views, and discuss how your team currently handles exceptions.

A LITTLE MORE DETAIL

Common questions

What does ECM stand for in care?

ECM stands for electronic call monitoring. In this context, a call is a care visit. The software helps a provider review attendance and timing information alongside the planned rota.

Can the office see visits that have not started?

MyRoster includes late-start monitoring and views for reviewing visit attendance. The office can investigate a flagged visit and decide on the appropriate follow-up.

Does MyRoster support GPS clock-in?

Yes. The existing mobile visit workflow supports GPS or QR clock-in. Ask for a demonstration of how carers record a visit and how the office reviews the resulting information.
